Baby Naming​

Blessing a child with a new Hebrew name is how the Jewish people welcome her into the Jewish community. The naming of a Jewish girl is a most profound spiritual moment. The Talmud tells us that an angel comes to the parents and whispers the Jewish name that the new daughter will embody. The parents get divine inspiration when they name the baby.   

It follows then that a newborn baby girl or newly-adopted girl is welcomed into the Jewish community with wonderful, meaningful rituals, both traditional and modern, that have been created for this purpose. 

I work closely with each family member prior and during the ceremony to capture the essence of this life milestone, which results in meaningful and life lasting memories for them.
